What is CSC?
Community Support Court (CSC) is a specialized diversion court designed to address the needs of individuals with mental health issues, addictions, concurrent disorders and other social challenges that contribute to involvement in the criminal justice system. The court aims to provide a compassionate and effective approach by focusing on rehabilitation and support.
CSC was created in in 2011, born out of a growing concern with the number of individuals in the courts with mental health and/or substance use concerns. The court was created as part of an initiative to approach criminal justice by emphasizing rehabilitation, support and community integration for vulnerable individuals.

Our goal is to provide tailored support and rehabilitation services, addressing underlying issues contributing to criminal behavior. Through a collaborative approach involving various community agencies and service providers, we create personalized plans for each participant by providing comprehensive assessments, and supervised treatment focusing on long-term positive change and successful integration into the community.
